We are sad to see Mrs. Walls leave us as the interim Principal for 2011-2012 and appreciate all she was able to do while she was here.

We are happy to announce that a new Principal has been appointed for Paredes Middle School. There will be a parents meeting to get to know her on May 10 in the cafeteria 4:15-5:15pm. We hope you will join us and meet our new Principal, Karla Wright.

Karla Wright, Paredes Middle School

Wright, who has more than 20 years of education experience, is the principal of Piner Middle School in Sherman. She also has served as principal of Bowie and Crockett junior high schools in Odessa and as a mathematics teacher. During her time at Piner, the school earned gold performance acknowledgements for academic improvement in reading, writing and mathematics from 2007 through 2011. Wright’s first day as principal will be July 1.
